I enjoy growing my own food but I also enjoy the grocery store! It is full of choices. We can choose from twenty different types of spaghetti sauce or hundreds of boxes of cereal. It is simply amazing! Sliced bread, can you imagine making bread for your family every week! Yikes!
Kids I survey believe their food comes from the grocery store shelves. I often have to explain that statement as being false. Our food originates from the fertile soils of planet Earth. Without hardworking dedicated farmers we would all have a few chicken and large cellars for the canned goods we labored over all summer. Thank goodness for modern food preservation and farmers.
